The Portfolio from Across the Pacific
They Bought the Building. They Kept the Team.
When new ownership acquired a Vancouver property we’d been managing for years, they faced a choice most owners don’t think about: bring in a new management team, or keep the one that already knew the building.
They kept us.
Not because it was the easy choice, but because we knew the building – the tenants, the systems, the maintenance history, the day-to-day rhythm that only comes from years on-site. For an ownership group new to the Vancouver market, that institutional knowledge made the transition seamless.
Over time, the relationship expanded into a multi-property portfolio across Vancouver, spanning residential, office, retail, and mixed-use assets. We managed operations end-to-end – tenant relations, maintenance, financial reporting, and day-to-day coordination – while ownership remained closely engaged, staying in regular contact with our team.
What made the relationship work was a clear division of responsibility and a shared standard of execution. These were engaged owners who expected a management team capable of running the portfolio without close supervision – and that’s exactly how we operate.
When the portfolio eventually transitioned under new ownership, most of the properties moved on to new management, as often happens with a change in ownership. In this case, though, the incoming ownership group chose to keep us on – a vote of confidence in the continuity we’d built over the years.
